1979

 Joseph Rosenast, a dog owner himself, went on holiday to Italy and found that dogs were banned from many areas due to an unresolved problem in dealing with dog waste. It was during this time that the idea formed for a "dog-waste disposal point with a dispenser for little bags", which later was to become ROBIDOG

1981 Patent application
1981 Emergence of the brand name: ROsenast BIsaz DOG = ROBIDOG (Mr Bisaz was involved in creating the first prototypes in the early days)
1982 "ROBIDOG – J. Rosenast" applies to join the trade register
1982 Introduction in individual communities. The first small orders follow
1982 Press conference at the Restaurant Holiday in Thun (publications: Der Bund, BZ Bern, Thuner Tagblatt, Oberländer Zeitung Spiez)
1983 The "Gemeinde 83" trade fair in Bern sees visitors displaying great interest in the ROBIDOG product. Joseph Rosenast decides at this point to dedicate himself full time to his company
1987 Joseph Rosenast is awarded the silver medal for the ROBIDOG product at the inventors' exhibition in Geneva
1995 The strengthened and in many ways technically improved ROBIDOG comes onto the market
2001 The company becomes "Robidog AG"
2004 ROBIDOG with inbuilt spare bag dispenser comes onto the market
2008 Joseph Rosenast dies unexpectedly at the age of 78
2009 Robidog AG has a change of owner. Heinz Zumsteg and Beatrice Wanzenried are now in charge
2009 "MINI-ROLL" comes onto the market
2010 Robidog AG begins sales outside Switzerland. Customers in the EU are now supplied from our very own warehouse in Germany
2010 Market launch of the «ECO» and «FOX» bag dispensers
2011 Market launch of the «FLEX» system
2012 Market launch of the "Dog toilets app". Dog toilets can now be found using a smartphone
2013 Market launch of the «NOVO» dog toilet
2013 Market launch of the “VITO” bag dispenser
2013 Market launch of "TAKE IT EASY"
2013 Robidog AG wins the Aargau company award in the category of micro enterprises of up to 9 employees
2013 Ground-breaking ceremony for the new company headquarters in Wallbach
2014 Move to the new building. There are now 2'000 pallet slots available
2014 The company becomes "ROBI AG Wallbach". The additional brands – ROBICLEAN for waste disposal systems and ROBIBAG for waste-bags – highlight the new strategic orientation
2015 Market launch of the «VENTURA» waste disposal system
2016 Market launch of the “PRESTO” bag dispenser
2017 Market launch of the «TANGO» waste disposal system
2020 Market launch of recycled dog waste bags
